You are the best authority on what your body needs.

Your input on your personal needs and wellness goals are essential in the healing process. Together, we pair this guidance with our healing savvy to shape your foundation in wellness in each session.

We love working with our clients on a variety of issues! Our areas of expertise include:

  • managing stress, anxiety, and depression

  • trauma recovery & resilience of spirit

  • healthful menstruation, fertility support, and prenatal & postpartum care for all people – (cis) women, trans, and non-binary folks

  • managing, and healing from, chronic & acute pain

We are especially committed to providing care to those that have felt, or feel, mistreated or patronized in health care settings. This often includes, but is not limited to, LGBTQ identified folks, people of color, women, poorer folks, those experiencing fat-phobia/body shaming/negativity, and those who are differently abled.

An integrative and empowering approach to massage therapy is our signature style, and each session is easily customized to meet you where you are on your healing path, every time.

Agua y Sangre Signature Massage

We begin with a “platica,” or talk, to assess your goals for that session & your overall wellness. Your expertise is interwoven with our most effective techniques to deliver a truly enjoyable therapy that helps you feel whole again. Because this massage is customizable, we can create YOUR ideal session each time: from one that focuses on supporting the mind and relieving stress, to one that works to unravel bothersome knots and tight muscles, to one that nurtures a broken heart or injured spirit (or, all of the above).

Prenatal Massage

This massage takes our signature style & designs it especially for the pregnant individual. We utilize side-lying positioning with proper support to alleviate strain on the back and pelvic area to create a comfortable and relaxing experience. This is a truly nurturing service for the pregnant person during a time of great transition and growth. It not only helps to heal and support the individual - but also heals ancestral & womb trauma, as well as healing the future.

Our herbal consultations offer a nurturing space for you to tell the story of your healing path - where you have been, where you are, and what would feel supportive as you continue your journey.  Together we will discuss your health + medical history as well as current health goals and/or concerns - and how herbal remedies (i.e. teas + tinctures) and lifestyle changes may help.  Follow up appointments may be recommended to ensure your herbal allies are always working best for you.  Cost of herbal remedies may vary based on treatment plan, and can be customized to fit financial needs. Most can expect to spend up to $50 at the initial visit for their remedios.

Connecting individuals and communities to wellness knowledge is a core value of ours. We offer an array of community classes, from prenatal herbal remedies to self-care strategies to fun introduction to how to easily incorporate herbal remedies in your daily life.

Before you arrive

You may want to think of any questions you have for and if there is anything you would like more information about. Please plan to arrive between 10 and 15 minutes early to fill out new client paperwork. This includes a detailed intake form and an informed consent form. If you are a returning client, plan to arrive a few minutes early so there is enough time for our verbal intake.

* Please note, our building does have stairs and may not be accessible depending on your needs. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please call us at 720.583.3614 with any questions or for more assistance.

At the beginning of your session

You will begin by completing a detailed intake form. In some instances, certain herbal remedies or massage may be inadvisable, so it is important to answer all questions as detailed as possible. Furthermore, permission from your healthcare provider may be required prior to starting any herbal or massage therapies.

Once you complete your initial paperwork, and on all subsequent appointments, we will head to the treatment room for a quick “plática,” or talk, about how you are doing, any questions you may have, and what your goals are for this appointment.

For massage sessions, once your goals have been established for the session, we will leave you to get settled, disrobe, and to get comfortable on the table. You will always be given privacy to disrobe and get on the table, and you will be instructed to get under the top sheet and/or blanket, so you will always be covered. Furthermore, you only need to undress to your level of comfort. While many massage techniques are traditionally performed with the client unclothed, it is entirely up to you what you would like to wear. You will be properly draped during the entire session and only the area being worked on will be exposed. When we make our plan for the session, we will discuss what areas you would like to work on and whether or not you would like a full-body session or just work on specific areas. Typically, a full body session includes work on your back, arms, legs, hands, neck, and shoulders. Work on the head, feet, chest, abdominal, and/or glute areas can be included at your request. We will always try to ask, but do not hesitate to let us know if there are any areas you do not wish to be massaged.

Your herbal consultation will consist of almost entirely “la plática.” You'll be asked to walk us through what is going on in your life, what may be affecting your mind, body, & spirit, and what your goals are. Towards the end of your session, we will talk about how herbal medicine and lifestyle changes may be beneficial in attaining your goals. From there we will make a treatment plan together. Some remedies may be ready for you at the time of your consultation, if not; however, we will also make a plan for getting those to you. Remember: Your health is in your own hands, the information provided in these sessions is purely educational and if you choose to use the herbs on yourself you do so under your own responsibility.

For your massage session, once you are settled on the table, the most important thing you need to do is to make yourself comfortable! Please let us know if you need more or less pressure, another blanket, if you have questions about the technique being used, or anything else that may be relevant to your session. We will let you know if we need anything (i.e. lifting your arm) or we may gently move you. Other than that, you are free to close your eyes and be in your body. And if you'd like to talk, that's great, too!

At the end of your consultation, we will check out in the waiting room area, make a plan for you to get your herbal remedies, and discuss any further steps or follow ups. We will discuss any safety considerations prior to the start of an herbal protocol, but please let us know if you have any questions, or if concerns arise.

At the end of your massage session, we will leave you to take your time to get up and simply feel the effects of your session. There will be a glass of water for you in the waiting area, where we'll discuss how you're feeling post-session, check out, and make a plan about scheduling any future sessions.

Please note, we accept all the following as forms of payment: cash, check, and card.

After your session, you may feel relaxed and “slowed down.” After that initial “slow-mo” period, you may experience increased energy, heightened awareness, and greater productivity. Please also note, with deeper work, it is not uncommon to be sore for a few days after. Always ask if you have any questions about how you are feeling after your session.
